Daniil Trifonov's new album, Bach: The Art of Life, explores the scientific, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of J. S. Bach's cosmos. Centered around Bach's late, mystical masterpiece, The Art of the Fugue, Trifinov's project investigates the man behind the myth: a genius of humility and humor whose family, loves, losses, and devotion inspired what Trifinov calls "some of humanity's most emotionally rich and fascinatingly sophisticated expressions in music."
